4 Types of Heat Resistant Glass:

4‌ Types of glass with better heat resistance include borosilicate glass, quartz glass, tempered glass and ceramic glass‌. These 4 glass types have significant differences in heat resistance properties, as follows:

Borosilicate glass‌:  Borosilicate glass has good thermal shock resistance and chemical stability, can withstand temperatures of about 500℃ to 600℃, and can withstand temperature changes of about 150℃

Quartz glass‌:  Quartz glass contains high-purity silica and has excellent high temperature resistance. It can be used above 1000℃ for a long time, and can even withstand temperatures up to 1200℃ in a short time. It has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it highly resistant to rapid temperature changes

‌Tempered glass‌:  After special treatment, it is stronger than ordinary glass and has better temperature resistance. It can generally withstand a temperature difference of 200℃ to 250℃.

Ceramic glass‌:  Ceramic glass (such as heat-resistant ceramics) can usually withstand temperatures up to 700°C and can withstand large thermal shocks without breaking.

Applications of Heat Resistant Glass:

Household water heater‌:  Borosilicate glass with better temperature resistance is usually used to withstand the thermal stress generated by hot water.

Labware‌:  Often made of quartz glass because it can withstand high temperatures without cracking due to rapid heating or cooling

High Temperature Industrial Furnace Windows‌:  Heat-resistant ceramic glass is commonly used due to its need to maintain stability and transparency at sustained high temperatures

Kitchen Appliances: Tempered glass products are usually in kitchen appliances where high temperature resistant glass products should be applied. like the oven door glass, stove top/cooktop cover glass.
