• Hex Bolts are also commonly referred to as Machine Bolts, and are often used interchangeably with Hex Head Cap Screws. Although there are small differences, they are largely interchangeable.

• Hex Bolts are designed for use with a Nut and often a Washer. Thread pitch, material, and finish for paired Bolts and Nuts should match.

• Thread length will vary depending on the bolt length and manufacturer. Call us if you would like to know the thread length of a specific size of Hex Bolt in our stock.

• We sell Hex Bolts in Grade A307, Grade 5, and Grade 8. They are Available in Plain Finish, Zinc Plated, Hot Dipped Galvanized, and Stainless Steel. Higher Grades (Grade 5 & 8) are only available in Zinc/Yellow Zinc Plating.

• The true length of many bolts can commonly be up to 3/16" short of the stated length.
