Our company's technical team completed the in-depth overhaul of several Dongfang Cummins engines in the workshop in 8 hours, covering performance testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of key components. Dongfang Cummins engine comprehensive overhaul completed

In order to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and eliminate potential hidden dangers, our company's technical team carried out a comprehensive overhaul of multiple Dongfang Cummins engines in the workshop today.

The overhaul lasted 8 hours, covering equipment performance testing, troubleshooting and key component maintenance, and finally successfully completed the established tasks

This overhaul was led by the Equipment Management Department, and a special team was formed by three technical backbones including the joint maintenance team and electrical engineers. Before the overhaul, the team formulated a detailed plan in advance, clarified the division of labor, and focused on marking the common fault points of Dongfang Cummins engines (such as fuel system blockage, turbocharger carbon deposition, etc.). Technical leader  said: "This overhaul is not only a 'physical examination' for the equipment, but also a practical exercise of the team's skills."

During the overhaul, the team strictly followed the standardized operating specifications, and the main steps included:

Check the battery power: Use a voltmeter to check the battery voltage. If the voltage is less than 12 volts, consider using a charger to charge or replace the battery.

‌Check the fuel system‌: If the fuel has been stored for more than a few months, it is recommended to drain the old fuel and add new fuel. Check the fuel filter, replace the new filter if necessary, and use fuel additives to clean the injection system‌.

‌Clean the spark plug‌: Remove the spark plug to check for carbon deposits or oil stains. If necessary, use a special cleaner to clean or replace the spark plug with a new one‌

Check the oil pump and oil circuit‌: Make sure the oil pump is working properly, clean the oil circuit, and check whether the oil pipe has air or blockage.

‌Check the air filter‌: Clean or replace the blocked air filter to ensure normal intake flow‌.

‌Check the cylinder pressure and sealing‌: If the cylinder is not sealed well, it may cause difficulty in starting. Check whether the piston ring and cylinder wall are worn or rusted‌.

‌Check the ignition coil and ECU‌: Make sure the ignition coil is working properly, restart or reset the ECU, and check whether the sensor data is correct‌.

‌Check the starter motor and control circuit‌: Make sure the starter motor and its connecting lines are working properly, and test the control circuit if necessary‌
